PAKISTAN INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED
The Pakistan High Commission celebrated 73rd Independence Day on 14 August 2019. Which was also an occasion to express solidarity with the people of IOK.
A record number of expatriates from all walks of life were present on the occasion.
High Commissioner, Ms. Saqlain Syedah read out the messages of the President and the Prime Minister which embodied special references to the situation in the Indian occupied Kashmir, valiant struggle of the Kashmiri people against Indian atrocities and Pakistan’s firm resolve to support the just struggle of their Kashmiri brethren who are facing worst form of atrocities at the hands of the Indian occupying forces.
Community members present on the occasion showed exemplary enthusiasm and passion who came to the High Commission to not only celebrate Independence Day but also express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
The High Commissioner thanked community members for turning up in large number, exhibiting great passion for Pakistan and the Kashmir cause.
